Monument Benches

Benches are functional monuments in that they are constructed to actually be sat on at the cemetery if a family chooses to use them in that way. Park benches have backs you can lean against. Pedestal benches have space to engrave on both the front and back faces and the seat. You can choose a multipiece bench that combines a seat and an upright, or a boulder bench that combines a seat and granite boulder for a more rugged look. Cremation benches have hollowed core holes or open spaces for urns. Monument benches can be ordered in any granite color. Families can add porcelain portraits, bronze, or laser etchings for additional personal touches.

Our design specialist will help you choose your bench style, dimensions, color and design.  Contact us with what you have in mind and we'd be glad to put some initial design workups for you to help get you started with this process.

While benches can be custom ordered in any size, standard bench sizes are 36" and 48".  Cremation benches are especially popular because they can hold up to 4 cremains. Indiana State Law has guidelines on who can handle the placement of cremains in a cemetery and each cemetery has their own additional guidelines for handling this. We assist families with coordinating this and handle all of these details.

A gray 36" straight leg bench with carved seat and family name starts at $1300 and a 36" gray park bench with carved back starts at $1800. Price is impacted by granite color, add ons like a porcelain portrait, laser etching, bronze plaque, and additional carving on other bench faces. Don't hesitate to contact us for more specific pricing and we would be glad to help you design the perfect bench monument that fits in your budget.
