Uprights

Uprights are headstones that sit upright on top of a base. Classic upright shapes are sertops, oval tops, half sertops and flat tops. But really the sky is the limit when it comes to upright shapes. You can custom design your shape, choose a pre-designed custom shape, add a sculpture, or go with a more classic shape. We carry a large inventory of in-stock sertops in different sizes in gray, Bahama Blue, India Red, Black, Morning Rose, Blue Pearl and Indian Mahogany, as well as many custom design stones. ​Extra touches like shape carved flowers, granite vases, porcelain inserts and laser etchings create beautiful personalized touches and added meaning for families and loved ones.

Some cemeteries have restrictions on uprights, so we always contact the cemetery first and verify what is allowed in order to assist you with the design process. 

A single gray carved upright sertop that measures 20x6x24 on a 24x12x6 base starts at $1400. Cost is impacted by stone dimensions, the color of the stone, and if you choose to add carving to the back of the stone or front of the base.

Many families find it helpful to walk through cemeteries and take pictures of stones they like to help with the design process.
